I’m drawn to hard work. On a set, or on the bike; in the cutting room, or at home over the weekend. My father instilled a belief in me that we are made to make and fix things, and find pleasure in the effort. I enjoy the effort most with willing collaborators.

Two themes drive my filmmaking and influence every choice I make. First, an unquenchable curiosity to understand the human condition and its effect on each of our lives. I can never fully solve that one. And second, a deep-seated desire to craft potent cinematic experiences that help us feel something essential.
